OSU Continues to Rise in US News and World Report Best Colleges Rankings

Oklahoma State University has improved its position among the top 100 public schools in recent years US News and World Reports The list of top university rankings published this week.

In the top national university category, OSU tied for 182nd out of nearly 440 schools, public and private — five spots higher than in 2021 (#187). As the best public school among national universities, OSU is tied for 91st – up from No. 96 in 2021.

In the Best Value Schools category, OSU earned a ranking of 179, claiming the top spot for a public university in Oklahoma.

In the Best Colleges for Veterans category, OSU remained 121st.

The biggest improvement for the university came in the overall ranking of undergraduate computer science programs, which rose 13 places from 2021. The program is now tied for 141st.

OSU’s Spears School of Business is tied for 73rd in the undergraduate business school rankings, dropping from 84th in 2021.

For graduate program rankings, OSU’s Doctor of Engineering program ranked best in the state, tied for 94th nationally.

Additionally, OSU ranked among the top 240 national universities for the ethnic diversity of its student body.

US News and World Report is the world authority in education rankings. In its 38th year, the rankings rated an all-time high of 1,500 U.S. bachelor’s degree-granting institutions on 17 measures of academic quality.
