High-speed internet provider plans to expand service to Victoria

All residents and businesses in the City of Victoria will eventually have fiber service available to them

Victoria – In collaboration with the City of Victoria, a nationally recognized company intends to make its state-of-the-art Internet service available to all residences and businesses in Victoria.

This new fiber internet service will be provided by Sparklight. Ken Connor, divisional operations manager at Sparklight, says this new fiber optic network will provide greatly improved reliability and broadband service in Victoria.

“We are very happy with this opportunity to come to Victoria. We already provide some services to small businesses and some large businesses in Victoria. But now is the opportunity to serve the entire region. Also for Victoria herself, this offers an opportunity for economic growth, to have the high-speed database available symmetrically, ”said Connor.

Connor says they hope the networks will be fully operational and available by spring 2023. For more information and updates, visit the City of Victoria’s broadband news site at the address: https://www.victoriatx.gov/785/Broadband
