BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – In support of Cyber ​​Security Awareness Month, Eastern Florida State College and Palm Beach State College have partnered to provide a virtual forum on the state of online ransomware and scams.

The online event is scheduled for Friday, October 15 from 11 am to 1:30 pm It is free, open to the public and aims to educate participants about cybersecurity.

Industry insiders sharing their expertise include Tony Balzanto, director of digital forensics and cyber investigations at Verizon, and Miguel Castellanos, FBI special agent.

Students from EFSC and PBSC will also be giving presentations on cybersecurity.

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations.
